Ke$ha

So, because luck runs in our blood, we recently got a couple of tickets to see Ke$ha perform on Conan.  It may interest some of you to know she looks better in person than on her videos... she should fire somebody about that.

We didn't see the interview, but we were able to travel in time to see her in June as she perform as part of the summer concert series.

Ke$ha has become one third of a joke in our house - yup we remixed the classic rock-paper-scissors (or "ro-sham-bo" if you're so inclined) with Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Ke$ha.

We couldn't bring in phones or cameras, so no pictures :( but we did get some TeamCoco stickers.

They also spent some money and got some fancy fliers to put on the dashboard.

Since we were in the 'hood and it was getting dark we went on down to the Griffith Observatory to see what it's like at night.

It was pretty cool, although I thought the Hollywood sign was lit up at night - it wasn't.

The highlight of going at night is looking through the Zeiss telescope.

Supposedly more people have looked through this telescope than any other in the world and considering the line of people that wanted to take a look through it I believe it.  So being the good tourists we are we waited along with the other interplanetary stalkers and caught a glimpse of Saturn.  What's that you say?  You's like to know more about Saturn?  OK, well did you know that it's basically a star that never became a star and 'if we had a better naming system it would be a called a sub-star.'

All in all it was pretty fun and earlier in the day I got a call from our buddies at KROQ to tell me that I won more stuff (of course) and we'll be going to see Gogol Bordello in concert!  They're opening for System of a Down, but GB will be the reason we're going.  And thus, from the time we won tickets to Rango we have always had tickets for something to look forward to.  Hint, hint, KROQ, we need Weenie Roast and LA Rising tickets!

  1. I am jealous of your luck! PS- in the game of Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Ke$ha... Ke$ha would always win (or loose) depending on how you play the game! I do dig her tunes though!

Thanks for the info on Saturn too... I can now finish my solar system science project.
